Find summer lidos and watersports close by or head slightly further afield for the most wonderful hiking and horse-riding opportunities in the surrounding hills and mountains.

The owners can arrange discounted rates at a range of local golf courses, including the impressive Castelconturbia Golf Club, or you may prefer to spend your days exploring the enchanting landscapes by boat – a trip from Stresa out to the breathtaking Borromeo Islands is a must!

Then there’s the narrow-gauge train journey across the border to Switzerland, the mesmerising Piedmont vineyards or even a day trip to the fashion capital of Italy, Milan. That’s if you can tear yourself away from the beguiling lakeside surroundings of Villa Meina.
