Perched above the azure waters of Marina Piccola, Villa Monte Solaro unfolds across sunlit terraces and sculpted gardens, with the Faraglioni Rocks rising dramatically from the sea just beyond. Originally built in 1937 in the distinctive Capri style of Edwin Cerio, the villa blends heritage architecture with artistic flair, whitewashed arches, vaulted ceilings, and ceramic tilework sit alongside an eclectic collection of artefacts, books and curiosities.

Step through the arched hallway and you’re welcomed into a living space washed in natural light, where the sea view becomes part of the décor. Each of the four Queen bedrooms offers privacy and calm, with three enjoying direct terrace access, and one opening onto a secluded rooftop lounge. A fifth room is available for staff or, when required, additional guests.

Outdoors, the tiered terraces are a Mediterranean dream, bougainvillea drapes over vine-covered pergolas, while lemon trees and flowering cacti border stone-paved paths. The saltwater pool is tucked between terraces, perfectly placed for long afternoons under the sun. An outdoor kitchen and dining area with a wood-fired oven invite lingering meals with a view. Just fifteen minutes from the Piazzetta, yet blissfully peaceful, this is Capri at its most characterful and serene.
