Situated just south of Avignon, you are perfectly positioned between the idyllic villages of Les Alpilles National Park to the south and the lovely city of Avignon with its two UNESCO world heritage sites. Closer to home, the village of Barbentane has a picturesque old centre with pretty cafes and restaurants, a boulangerie and grocery shop plus some impressive historical buildings. There are several hiking trails in the nearby hills and beyond.

The region is in the heart of this formidable area of vineyards, idyllic hilltop villages, world-renowned towns, and summer landscapes of sunflowers. Gordes is just one of the beautiful villages in the outstanding Luberon region or head south to the charming town of St-Rémy where you can soak up the true Provençal way of life, especially on markets days. Wine lovers mustn’t miss out on a visit to Châteauneuf-du-Pape whilst Van Gogh’s precious Arles and Baux-de-Provence, one of France’s acclaimed ‘Plus Beaux Villages’, are also within easy reach.

After a day exploring, you will appreciate the calmness of the lovely wooded surroundings when you return to your beautiful estate and home.
