Take a morning stroll around the nearby Jardin Public with its botanical plants and paths, then head to downtown Bordeaux, around a ten-minute walk away, where you can enjoy the city sights, take river trips along the mighty Garonne, discover antique shops and flea markets or shop to your heart’s delight on Rue Sainte Catherine, the longest pedestrianised shopping street in France.

There’s no better way to experience the gastronomy of Bordeaux by visiting one of its colourful markets such as Marché des Capucins and there are plenty of opportunities to soak up the vibrant restaurant scene across the city.

Of course, then there’s the wine – after visiting the impressive Cité du Vin, savour a glass of Bordeaux in a charming wine bar or head out of the city and arrange tastings and tours at nearby wine châteaux and vineyards, some of the finest in the whole of France.
