Surrounded by the gorgeous countryside of the Dordogne and Lot-et-Garonne, Maison Lemance is a classic retreat where relaxed French living meets everyday comfort. With lawns and dappled woodland, the scene is set for slow days by the pool, long lunches on the terrace and carefree outdoor play. Less than 2km from the charming village of Sauveterre-la-Lémance, this warm, well-equipped home is perfect for up to 9 guests seeking space, privacy and a deep sense of ease.

The interiors blend laid-back country style with practical features designed for a sociable stay. A bright kitchen, complete with an Aga-style range and American-style fridge-freezer, opens onto one of the dining terraces, while the generous dining area and inviting living room offer space to gather or unwind, whatever the season.

Four comfortable bedrooms, including one with an extra single bed in a children’s annexe, are spread across two floors, offering flexible accommodation for multi-generational groups or family holidays. Entertainment is covered too, with UK satellite TV, a DVD player and Bose sound system all on hand.

Step outside and the lifestyle flows effortlessly between shaded terraces, garden games and poolside lounging. The private, heated pool sits beside a gorgeous terrace with a gazebo and sun loungers. There’s table tennis, badminton and acres of garden to explore, not to mention the woodland, little stream and fenced lake that add a natural backdrop to your stay.

Set just outside Sauveterre-la-Lémance, the location places you at the gateway to some of the region’s finest treasures. Wander through nearby bastide towns like Monpazier, Monflanquin and Belvès, taste your way around the vineyards of Bergerac, or spend a morning drifting down the Dordogne by canoe past dramatic cliffs and medieval villages. Whether it’s market-hopping, château visits or meandering along the Lot River, there’s history and beauty at every turn.

Maison Lemance welcomes you whether you are longing for a slower pace and meaningful time together, or seeking an inspired base from which to explore this wonderful corner of southwestern France.
