Set amid a glorious garden with cherry, walnut and hazelnut trees, Les Chapoux is a beautifully restored 16th-century country home that exudes warmth, charm and timeless character. Timber-framed and built in local stone, the house has been sympathetically renovated to a wonderful standard, retaining its original beamed ceilings and rustic soul while offering a range of modern comforts. With 1.5 hectares of private grounds and a large heated pool, this is an idyllic retreat for families or friends looking to immerse themselves in rural south-west France.

Inside, the interiors strike a harmonious balance between tradition and comfort. A fully equipped kitchen opens out onto the al-fresco dining terrace, perfect for long lunches in the shade. The beamed dining area flows through to a cosy living room with UK satellite TV and Wi-Fi, while the ground floor bedroom with its en suite shower room provides convenient accommodation. Upstairs, three air-conditioned bedrooms await alongside two family bathrooms and a nursery, offering ample space – Les Chapoux sleeps up to 8 guests.

Outside, the garden is a delight. Children can enjoy the swings, slide, trampoline and boules court, while adults unwind by the 10-metre heated pool or gather around the barbecue as the sun sets. Whether sharing meals on the shaded terrace or simply soaking in the rhythm of the countryside, life at Les Chapoux invites you to slow down and savour each moment.

Les Chapoux is ideally positioned for exploring the Lot-et-Garonne’s gastronomic and cultural pleasures. Just 7km away, Tonneins offers everyday conveniences, while Marmande’s lively markets and dining scene are within a 20-minute drive. For those keen to explore further, the celebrated vineyards of Duras and Bergerac, the summer night markets of Laparade and Fongrave, and a host of outdoor activities from golf to canoeing are all within easy reach.

Les Chapoux offers a truly memorable countryside escape where old-world charm meets characterful modern comfort.
