Framed by cypresses and the soft silhouettes of pine, Villa Medicis is a beautiful residence offering a quintessential French Riviera experience close to the sea.

Its Italianate façade speaks of an age when elegance and grace guided every architectural line. Here, the perfume of wild herbs mingles with sea air and cicadas keep time with the warmth of the sun. Though the world has changed since its 19th-century beginnings, Villa Medicis remains a sanctuary of understated refinement, where the pace slows and the senses reawaken.

Step through its gates and you’re greeted by a lovingly curated garden conceived by renowned landscape designers in the French Riviera. Lemon, fig and olive trees grow alongside fragrant lavender and rosemary, while shaded pathways invite lingering strolls or restful reading beneath the pergola’s Moorish curves.

The 400 square metres of interior living space, completely reimagined in recent years by a celebrated Parisian architect, seamlessly marry heritage with modern sophistication. Period details, like a historic fireplace salvaged from an early transatlantic liner and wrought-iron gates sourced from a medieval Spanish castle, blend effortlessly with family heirlooms, sleek design pieces and eclectic finds from distant travels.

The layout flows with comfort and privacy in mind. Five ensuite bedrooms are divided across two floors, while the ground floor's vast living area opens out to the expansive terrace. Whether dining al fresco in the shade of the trees or savouring long evenings on the terrace, every moment here is steeped in atmosphere and ease.

Close to Toulon and the charming town of Le Pradet, Villa Medicis enjoys a coveted position near the Var coastline. From here, it’s a short distance to pine-shaded beaches like Plage du Pin de Galle or the idyllic Plage du Monaco. Markets, tennis courts and local cafés are minutes away by car, while the dramatic Sentier du Littoral trail invites days of scenic exploration.

For those seeking a refined Riviera escape with soul, Villa Medicis offers a place where the Mediterranean reveals its most authentic self.
