Set amidst vast wooded grounds, Villa Lune d’Eau exudes rural charm with the air of a storied past. Once part of a château’s estate, this former mill has been thoughtfully restored, offering guests a characterful retreat with distant views across the Cévennes and Pic Saint-Loup. Spend your time with leisurely swims in the round pool and long lunches under the southern sun before exploring this wonderful region.

Inside, the house offers understated comfort across two levels. A well-equipped kitchen opens onto inviting living and dining spaces, where natural textures and warm tones create a relaxed, homely feel. The ground-floor bedroom features a queen-size double bed and private shower room, while upstairs, three further bedrooms (three doubles, one of which can be made up as a twin) and a family bathroom make it ideal for groups or extended families.

The surrounding grounds invite guests to reconnect with nature, whether rallying on the private quick-surface tennis court, playing table tennis or simply relaxing beside the gorgeous swimming pool after a day of exploring. Evenings here are made for barbecues, sunset strolls and stargazing in the total privacy the villa affords.

Perfectly placed between Nîmes and Montpellier, Villa Lune d’Eau is a gateway to the Languedoc’s many treasures. Wander the Roman ruins of Nîmes, browse the historic Saturday morning market in Sommières, or visit the medieval walled town of Aigues-Mortes before an afternoon on the golden beaches of La Grande Motte or Le Grau-du-Roi.

For those who prefer inland adventures, cycle and mountain biking routes pass nearby, golf awaits at Nîmes Campagne and canoeing on the Gardon offers unforgettable views of the Pont du Gard.

Whether gathering with friends or retreating with family, Villa Lune d’Eau offers a picturesque and authentic base from which to savour the rhythm of southern France.
