Market lovers also note you are only 6km from L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, famed for its antique stores and Sunday morning brocante, one of the most famous flea markets in Provence. That said, you may prefer to spend your time canoeing along the Sorgue River, hiking through the landscapes of Fontaine-de-Vaucluse or cycling to your hearts content in the foothills of Mont Ventoux.

Indeed, Villa La Sorgue enjoys a superb setting for guests wishing to soak up the authentic ambience of village life in Provence whilst also being so well located for so many highlights of the region. It’s such an attractive little home for 2-4 guests with a small, pretty lounge and dining area, a characterful wood stove, an open kitchen on the side alongside a double bedroom and modern shower room. The heart of medieval Velleron is a short stroll away with a small handful of restaurants, a bakery and a small supermarket just on the edge of the village. The Sorgue River flows past the foot of the village, close to the market place which hosts a fantastic Farmer’s market six evenings a week (April to September, three times a week during other months). Only farmers from the Velleron area can sell their produce – the market has gained a fine reputation over time and attracts thousands of visitors each year.
